Who We Are

Forged from a shared history, shared struggles, and a shared vision, the Congress of Black Women of Manitoba Inc. is a Black-led, volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to advancing the awareness, education, and rights of Black women and their families across Manitoba.

Our work is rooted in self-respect, self-esteem, and the belief that when Black women thrive, our communities thrive. We deliver programs, projects, and initiatives shaped by meaningful dialogue and grounded in the real needs, hopes, and aspirations of Black women and their families.

Become A Member

Our members are the heart of the Congress. They bring their knowledge, skills, and lived experiences to help create space where Black women in Manitoba can thrive.

Through collaboration, care, and community, members support one another, work toward shared goals, and celebrate every win—big or small.

Membership is open to all Black women aged sixteen (16) and over, as well as other women who closely identify with and support the aims and objectives of the Congress.

Meet The 2021 Recipients Of The Congress Of Black Women Of Manitoba Scholarship! These 4 Change Makers Were Awarded Scholarships Towards Their Post-Secondary Education In Recognition Of Their Passion To Lead And Inspire Positive Change In Their Communities.
